BioThread

One-liner

AI-powered biometric intelligence that detects what standard fitness apps miss — the gap between cardiovascular recovery and CNS fatigue.

Core Capability

The "GAP Score (General Adaptation Profile)" — a proprietary algorithm that cross-references cardiovascular metrics (RHR, HRV/RMSSD) against neuromuscular markers (ground contact time, sleep architecture, LF/HF HRV ratio) to determine true recovery state.

Problem

Every fitness app on the market treats recovery as a single cardiovascular metric. Whoop gives you a "recovery score" based on HRV. Apple Health shows resting heart rate. But athletes and coaches know that you can feel "cardiovascularly fine" while your nervous system is shot — leading to injury, overtraining, and performance plateaus.

Solution

BioThread ingests data from multiple wearables (Garmin, Apple Watch, Whoop, Oura), calculates separate CV and CNS recovery indices, and surfaces the gap with prescriptive coaching recommendations.

Target Market

  • Individual athletes who train seriously (initial wedge)
  • Strength coaches managing multiple athletes
  • College/semi-pro teams (overlaps with Ascent Performance Analytics)

Strategic Fit

  • The GAP Score (General Adaptation Profile) algorithm is the intellectual property core of BioThread
  • Can be offered as standalone consumer product OR as a module within Ascent Performance Analytics
  • Data pipeline (Phase 1) is reusable infrastructure for any biometric product
  • Directly supports Ascent Fitness + Wellness brick-and-mortar vision
